About Klostergoldschmiede

Klostergoldschmiede is a goldsmith's workshop in Rostock led by master goldsmith Dorin Kipke-Rehpenning. Opened on 7 October 2002 in the Monastery of the Holy Cross, gold and silver alloys are worked there into individual pieces of jewellery such as rings, wedding rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. The workshop produces one-of-a-kind pieces based on its own designs, among other things with Australian opals as a speciality, and also uses gemstones such as peridot, garnet, lapis lazuli, amethyst and tourmaline as well as amber and freshwater pearls. In addition to new creations, repairs, alterations and the redesign of family jewellery are offered. Six apprentices have been trained in the goldsmith's craft at the company. The offering is complemented by goldsmithing courses in which laypeople forge their own pieces of jewellery or partner rings under instruction, as well as an online shop.
