About Klug Robotics

Klug Robotics is an AgTech startup from Munich in the field of deep-tech robotics. The company develops an AI-based perception solution (computer vision) for harvesting robots: the system detects and segments ripe cucumbers even under dense foliage and in difficult lighting conditions, and calculates in real time the 6D pose of each fruit — i.e., its position and orientation in three-dimensional space. On this basis, the robot arm receives a precise trajectory for a clean, non-destructive picking process, enabling fully autonomous open-field harvesting. In addition to fruit detection, the system tracks blossoms to predict new fruits and detects damaged leaves as an early-warning indicator of plant stress such as fungal infestation or water and nutrient deficiency. Klug Robotics is currently working with early-adopter farms on pilot projects, addressing rising labor costs and the shortage of skilled workers in agriculture. The company is actively looking for a third co-founder in the field of mechatronics.
