About KMU LOFT Cleanwater
KMU LOFT Cleanwater SE (KLC) is a plant manufacturer for industrial wastewater treatment and process water purification based in Kirchentellinsfurt with a site in Lörrach. The company develops, designs and manufactures vacuum evaporators in three series (KLC-MASTER Line, DESTIMAT LE, PROWADEST) as well as pre- and post-treatment systems such as exhaust air treatment, belt filters, full demineralization, flow-through neutralization, reverse osmosis and oil separation. The systems treat oily and saline process waters, emulsions, coolants, electroplating and crack testing waters as well as landfill leachate, mine water and radioactive wastewater. Treatment is based on vacuum distillation with natural or forced circulation and vapor recompression, achieving water recovery of up to 99%. Since 1989, around 100 employees have been involved in designing and implementing process chains up to wastewater-free production (Zero Liquid Discharge); installations exist in 60 countries. The service range includes lifecycle support, remote monitoring (KLC 4.0), on-site service, training and spare parts.

Processes and Process Water
Vacuum evaporation natural circulation (KLC-MASTER Line, DESTIMAT LE)
Treatment of oily and emulsion-containing process waters with high distillate quality and low energy consumption of approx. 35–60 kWh/m³.
Vacuum evaporation forced circulation (PROWADEST, KLC-MASTER Line FC)
Falling-film forced circulation with vapor recompression for strongly foaming, saline and heavily contaminated process waters.
Exhaust air treatment (KLC-Airstar)
Condenses vapor-form components, reduces odor emissions and cools distillate for discharge.
Belt filter (KLC-BELFI)
Continuous removal of coarse particles and solids from process water prior to evaporation.
Full demineralization / demineralization system
Treatment of process water to remove dissolved salts.
Flow-through neutralization
Adjustment of the pH value of process water for safe operation and discharge.
Reverse osmosis / desalination
Desalination of process water for water reuse.
Oil separation by coalescence effect
Pre-treatment of oily waters to separate free oils.
