The Company

KMW Kühlmöbelwerk Limburg GmbH develops and produces commercial refrigeration and freezer furniture for all distribution formats and business sizes in the food retail sector. The product range includes wall-mounted refrigerated shelving (Albatros®, Flamingo), refrigerated counters (Orca®, Octopus), freezer furniture (Jumbo, Koala, Eisbär) as well as plug-in refrigeration units such as fresh food coolers and convenience coolers. The units are manufactured as variable, mutually combinable modular elements and operated with central refrigeration systems or decentralised cooling modules. Manufacturing takes place at the company's own plant in Limburg an der Lahn with trained in-house staff; materials used include stainless steel for the inner carcass and display surfaces, as well as customised stainless steel or wood cladding. Customers come from the entire food retail sector, from butchers and petrol stations to supermarket branches and discounters through to premium shops. In addition to production, services such as project planning, assembly and commissioning, maintenance, repair, spare parts service, 24-hour service 365 days a year and energy optimisation of used refrigeration units (up to 30 % energy savings) are offered. Since 2016, KMW has been a partner of the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM).
