About KNAPP Connectors
KNAPP Connectors was founded in Austria in 1986 by inventor Friedrich Knapp and specializes in concealed, self-tightening wood connectors. It began with joining solutions for furniture manufacturing; today the portfolio includes systems for cabinet and furniture production, staircase construction, interior fit-out as well as timber construction and solid timber construction (Timber/Mass Timber), including beam connectors (RICON S, GIGANT, MEGANT), wall connectors (WALCO), Biscuit connectors (FAST, SILVER), dowel systems, structural screws as well as the Zipbolt and Mod-eez systems. Manufacturing includes aluminium-zinc die casting, plastics and steel. The systems are developed in Austria and Germany; a central warehouse in Amstetten manages worldwide distribution. Projects include the Red Bull Energy Station of Formula 1, the Goethe Tower Frankfurt and the pavilion of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
