Since 1968, Koch-Chemie GmbH has developed, produced and distributed high-quality cleaning and care products for wash chemistry, vehicle detailing, workshops, industry and, since 2024, also for the marine segment. At the Unna site, the formulations are stirred in production vessels, filled fully automatically into small and large containers, labeled and shipped worldwide; the filling capacity exceeds 6 million liters per year. As one of the few companies in the industry, Koch-Chemie conducts its own research and development: in its own R&D department, products are tested for gloss, hydrophobicity and durability before being put to use – including at the automobile manufacturers Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW and Audi. The brands KochChemie, COLOURLOCK (leather and faux leather care) and THE FINISHER operate under the umbrella of Koch-Chemie GmbH. Since 2017, the company has been part of the French Novarc Group; sales companies exist in France (Croissy-Beaubourg) and the USA (Alpharetta, Georgia), and distribution partners supply more than 70 countries. Around 140 employees work at the Unna site, supplemented by about 30 sales representatives in German distribution.

History
- 1968
Hans Koch develops his own formulations for polishes in his garage and founds Koch-Chemie GmbH.
- 1971
Relocation of the company headquarters to Unna, Germany.
