About KoCo Connector GmbH
KoCo Connector GmbH was founded in August 2007 and has been headquartered in Berlin-Kreuzberg (Dessauer Str. 28/29) since December 2017. The company is a connector manufacturer for the telematics infrastructure (TI) in the German healthcare system and develops and produces the KoCoBox MED+, the first connector approved by gematik (initial approval in November 2017, approval of the new KoCoBox MED+ in June 2022). The connector provides the protected connection between practice, pharmacy and hospital IT as well as the e-health card terminals of the electronic health card (eGK) and the telematics infrastructure. The hardware comprises a housing made of powder-coated die-cast aluminum (130 x 130 x 42 mm, approx. 590 g), an i.MX8 Quad Max processor, 8 GB of main memory and a TFT color display. In addition to the one-box connector KoCoBox MED+, the company offers the high-speed connector KoCoBox HSK. Specialist modules such as VSDM, NFDM, AMTS and ePA, a support hotline and firmware updates via an auto-update function round out the offering. Sales are handled through distribution partners such as CGM, Concat and the KoCo Shop; more than 60,000 installations of the KoCoBox MED+ have been realized.
