Köberlein Technologies GmbH (until March 2026 Köberlein & Seigert GmbH) develops and manufactures feeding technology and automation solutions for industrial series production. Founded in 1969 and based in the Thüringer Tor industrial park in Grabfeld, the company is regarded as the inventor of step-feed technology. The product portfolio ranges from standardized individual machines to customized assembly automation and line linking; a core commitment is mastering parts from simple to complex and from large to small. In addition to classic step-feed systems with sorting rails of up to 8 lanes – with throughputs of up to 185 parts per minute – air-flow-based feeding systems and robot cells with camera technology (bin picking, “reach into the box”) are also employed. Customers come from the automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology, furniture, plastics and electrical industries, as well as from the pharmaceutical industry via line builders. Through its branch Köberlein & Seigert LLC in South Carolina (USA), the company serves the North American market, having won two multi-million-dollar major orders for feeding systems there in 2020 and 2022. An after-sales program covers maintenance, repair, conversions, remote service, spare parts service and user training.
