KÖHL GmbH, based in Rödermark in Hesse, was founded in 1976 and manufactures ergonomic, high-quality office chairs Made in Germany for single offices, desk-sharing, co-working, home office and lounge areas. The product range includes swivel chairs, conference and cantilever chairs, lounge furniture, stools and lounge tables in product lines such as SELLEO, ANTEO, TEMPEO, KANSEO, KLEAN, KONNEX and KARISMA. Materials processed include aluminium and steel frames, PA, wood elements, HPL laminates for table tops, and upholstery in polyester, pure new wool, leather, faux leather and 3D knit made from recycled polyester. Production encompasses the assembly of seating furniture, the manufacture of table tops with HPL coating, the knitting of seat covers as well as remanufacturing and refurbishment concepts; preparatory assembly work has been carried out for over 15 years by the Werkstätten Hainbachtal workshops in Rödermark. A photovoltaic system generates around 182,000 kWh of solar power per year. All activities are documented by quality and environmental management certificates (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
