About Anuga

Anuga is organized by Koelnmesse GmbH and is an international trade fair for food and beverages held at the Cologne fairgrounds (Messeplatz 1, 50679 Cologne). The trade fair concept comprises ten trade fairs under one roof, each representing a segment of the food and beverage industry: Alternatives, Bread & Bakery, Chilled & Fresh Food, Dairy, Drinks, Fine Food, Frozen Food, Hot Beverages, Meat and Organic. The target groups are trade visitors from food retail, the out-of-home market/gastronomy and food processing, as well as exhibitors from the food and beverage industry. Anuga 2025 counted over 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries (94% of them international) and more than 145,000 visitors from over 190 nations. In addition, the organizer offers exhibitor and visitor services such as Service Shop, catering (with partner Aramark), Lead Management, parcel service, Delegation Services and press and radio service. The next Anuga will take place from 9 to 13 October 2027 in Cologne.

History

1. 1919

   First Anuga in Stuttgart in conjunction with the 12th association convention of the Reichsverband deutscher Feinkostkaufleute; around 200 German companies.

2. 1924

   First Anuga in Cologne (17–24 August) with 360 exhibitors on approx. 10,000 m² and around 40,000 visitors.

3. 1951

   First Anuga after the Second World War in Cologne (6–14 October); over 1,200 exhibitors from 34 countries on 52,000 m², around 250,000 visitors.

4. 1953

   More foreign than German exhibitors; around 262,000 visitors.

5. 2025

   Largest and most successful Anuga: over 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries, more than 145,000 visitors from over 190 nations.

6. 2027

   Next Anuga planned for 9–13 October 2027 in Cologne.
