About Königswieser Gerätetechnik
Königswieser Gerätetechnik (KGD) is an Austrian family business in its third generation and has been manufacturing forestry cable winches for tractors since 1972. At its site in Vorchdorf, Upper Austria, the winches are developed and finally produced from design through assembly to repair. The product range comprises three designs: mechanical cable winches with lever control, radio-controlled winches with rope ejection and the special SBS braking system, and cross-drum winches for selection forests and winch-assisted felling; additionally there is the radio-controlled auxiliary winch HW1 as well as skidding shields, log grabs and forestry equipment accessories. All winches are designed for tractors of any size from around 35 HP; the main component is the steel cable. Distribution is handled by authorised specialist dealers in Austria, Germany, Italy, France and the Czech Republic; all proprietary parts carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty and lifetime spare parts availability – all drawings have been archived since 1972.
