About KVK Koerner
KVK Koerner is an Austrian family-owned company founded in 1985/86 as Koerner Chemieanlagenbau Gesellschaft m.b.H., with roots in the Körner shipyard of 1950. The company, with 80 employees in Wies (Styria), manufactures turnkey hot-dip galvanizing plants, pickling plants for stainless steel pipes and black steel as well as non-ferrous metals, encapsulated pre-treatment systems and fully encapsulated pickling lines according to its own KVK concept. Core components such as pickling tanks made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) and exhaust air scrubbers are manufactured in-house in two-shift production; in addition, KVK supplies exhaust air purification systems with heat recovery, acid protection linings for concrete and steel, and exhaust air technology made of acid-resistant plastics. As a general contractor, KVK Koerner handles planning, production, handover and commissioning worldwide – plants have been built, among other places, in Europe, Japan, Australia, the Middle East and Canada. Reference customers include Norgalv, H. Butting GmbH & Co. KG and DSI Underground.

Materials and Processes
Glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP)
Material for pickling tanks and special construction panels with high resistance to acids, impact and fire.
Acid-resistant plastics
Used in scrubbers, pumps, pipework and exhaust air systems for aggressive media such as HCl, HF, H₂SO₄ and NOx.
Steel / black steel
Workpieces and plant components; coating as acid protection.
Stainless steel
Workpiece material for pickling plants for the surface treatment of stainless steel pipes.
Concrete (catch basins)
Coating of catch basins in accordance with DIBt component approvals and the German Water Resources Act.
General contractor plant engineering
Turnkey planning, production, handover and commissioning of galvanizing and pickling plants.
Exhaust air purification with heat recovery
GreenPure exhaust air scrubbers without wastewater, with recirculation of washed acids and heat recovery.
