The sauna manufactory in the Swabian Alb
KOERNER Saunabau GmbH is a sauna manufactory based in Albstadt in the Swabian Alb. Founded in Konstanz in 1949 and now run by the third generation, the family-owned company produces custom-made saunas built to the exact centimetre according to the manufactory principle – from entry-level models and design saunas with glass doors and floor-to-ceiling glass fronts to free-standing garden saunas and sauna houses as well as commercial large-scale sauna systems. Mostly regional woods are used, such as southern German silver fir, Scandinavian aspen, spruce and hemlock; tropical overseas woods such as abachi are not used. Technology packages with heater, control unit, lighting and audio, available as a Finnish sauna (single heater), soft steam sauna (dual heater) or infrared variant (triple heater), come from southern German production. Customers include private customers as well as baths, sauna landscapes, thermal spas, fitness studios, hotels, clinics and cruise ships. Delivery and installation are carried out in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
