About Kohl-Holzmanufaktur

Kohl-Holzmanufaktur produces children's furniture and wooden toys from solid wood according to its own designs. The material used is exclusively selected birch wood from sustainable forestry in the Allgäu-Oberschwaben region, which guarantees short transport routes. Particular attention is paid to soft, rounded edges during production. The surfaces are treated in several work steps with high-quality oils and waxes, giving them a silk-matt, smooth and resistant coating that meets the requirements of EN 71 (safety for children's toys) and DIN 53 160 (saliva- and sweat-resistant). A modern machine fleet supports the manual production. Customers are primarily kindergartens and day-care centres; the furniture is durable due to its workmanship and can be passed down through generations.
