Leveling technology from KOHLER: part leveling machines, strip lines and leveling center
KOHLER Maschinenbau GmbH, headquartered in Lahr (Baden-Württemberg), develops and produces part leveling machines and coil feed lines for presses and stamping presses as well as cut-to-length lines for steel service centers, mechanical engineering and the automotive industry. The product range extends from individual machines to chained, automated production lines, including unwinders, roll feeds, shear systems, coil handling and integrated leveling and deburring lines. All part leveling machines operate hydraulics-free with a servo-electronic drive concept, direct drives and patented electromechanical leveling gap control; sheet metal and blanked parts from 0.2 to 66 mm thickness as well as strip material with widths up to 2,100 mm are processed. At its headquarters, KOHLER operates a leveling center for contract leveling and leveling trials with modern Peak Performer machines. Founded in 1963, the company employs 115 staff, has belonged to WINTERSTEIGER AG (Austria) since 2011 and has realized more than 6,700 reference projects worldwide. Sales and service locations exist in Shanghai (China), Moscow (Russia) and Salt Lake City (USA).

Materials and processed materials
Strip steel
Main material for strip lines, among other things in use at KERN-LIEBERS for stamped and bent parts.
Sheet/steel sheet (including black steel)
Processed in part leveling machines, e.g. up to 90 % black steel share in systems for structural steelwork and sheet metal fabrication.
