Kokusai Semiconductor Europe GmbH (KSE) is a supplier of thermal batch processing systems for semiconductor manufacturers in the EMEA region. The company's systems, including the Vertron and Quixace product lines, are used to process silicon wafers into microchips and cover vertical batch thermal processes, diffusion furnaces, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), metrology and ashing. In addition to the sale of systems and spare parts, the portfolio includes service contracts, maintenance, conversion and installation as well as the sale of reconditioned used machines. KSE is the German subsidiary of the Japan-based Kokusai Electric Corporation and started on 1 June 2018 as a pure manufacturer of semiconductor manufacturing systems under KKR & Co. L.P. following the spin-off from Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc. With over 30 years of experience in thermal batch processes and sites in three countries, the company installs and services systems at customers in Europe as well as, upon customer request, in the USA and Japan.
