About Kolon Industries Engineering Plastics
Kolon Industries is a South Korean manufacturer of engineering plastics founded in April 1957 and part of the Kolon Group. The Engineering Plastics division produces compounds based on POM (KOCETAL®), PA, PBT and TPEE and supplies customers in around 90 countries worldwide. The POM range includes standard, high-strength, impact-modified, glass-fiber-reinforced, lubricious, conductive and medical grades, processed by injection molding or extrusion. Alongside petrochemical products, the company offers KOCETAL ECO bio-based (mass balance), low-carbon and renewable-energy-based variants; for this, Kolon Industries received ISCC PLUS certification in December 2020 as the first chemical company in Korea. Customer industries include automotive, electrical/electronics, medical technology, household appliances, consumer goods and food contact. Kolon Industries' revenue in 2025 was 4.8 trillion KRW.

Quality and Certification
Kolon Industries is certified to ISCC PLUS for purchasing, production and distribution (December 2020) and produces POM grades with reduced formaldehyde and VOC emissions that meet relevant standards such as VDA 275. Material development includes internally documented tests on chemical resistance, UV resistance and mechanical properties.
