KOMET Maschinenfabrik GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1950 and based in Plochingen near Stuttgart. The company develops, manufactures and distributes machines for vacuum packaging and for cooking under vacuum (sous-vide) for industry, retail, gastronomy and, in particular, the butcher's trade. The product range comprises around 40 models, including tabletop machines, floor-standing machines, double-chamber machines, tray sealers with gas flushing (MAP), thermoforming machines, vacuum shrink combinations and sous-vide equipment, all "Made in Germany". In addition to sales, KOMET offers service, spare parts, accessories, technical information and training through its own KOMET Academy. Around 20 employees look after customers with personal on-site support.
