About KBB Turbo

Kompressorenbau Bannewitz GmbH (KBB Turbo) has been developing, manufacturing and selling exhaust gas turbochargers with axial and radial turbines at its site in Bannewitz near Dresden since 1953. The turbochargers are used on medium-speed diesel and gas engines in ships, locomotives and generator sets and cover an engine power range of 500 to 6,000 kW per turbocharger. With the K2B (two-stage turbocharging), ST27-EP, HPR and M series, KBB offers various product generations for diesel, heavy fuel oil and gas engines. The portfolio is complemented by retrofit and upgrade solutions, the K2S exchange programme for cartridges and complete turbochargers, repair and maintenance, condition-based maintenance systems and additive manufacturing of turbocharger components. Quality testing as well as aerodynamic, thermodynamic, strength and vibration simulations are carried out in-house by the company's own experts. With more than 83,000 turbochargers produced and over 30,000 in field operation, KBB is one of the established providers in this segment.
