About KONRAD Maschinenbau
Konrad Werkzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH is a family business founded in 1965 by Josef Konrad, master toolmaker, based in Graben near Augsburg. The company specializes in CNC precision manufacturing of turned, milled, drilled and ground parts – from prototype and single part to small series and assembled modules. Processes include CNC turning, turn-milling, 3-axis and 5-axis milling as well as surface grinding; steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals and castings are machined. Heat and surface treatments such as hardening, nitriding, tempering, anodizing and galvanic coatings are coordinated by KONRAD with qualified partners, as are brazing and welding. In addition to manufacturing, the company offers assembly of complete functional units – ready to install, tested and packaged, including laser and needle engraving, sandblasting, manual finishing and documentation. In 2024 the company moved into an energy-optimized new building in Graben, whose own photovoltaic system covers 52% of its energy needs and whose production is designed for zero waste with pure-grade recycling.
