Kontron is a technology company specializing in IoT and embedded computing, with group headquarters in Linz and the head office of Kontron Europe GmbH in Ismaning. The company develops and manufactures embedded boards, industrial-grade PC systems, custom designs and electronic assemblies as an ODM/EMS service provider. Manufacturing covers rapid prototyping, SMT and THT assembly in small, medium and large series, final assembly, box build as well as product testing and validation; at the Leipzig site (Kontron eSystems), plastic injection molding is additionally performed. The process chain extends from electronics development through industrialization and certification to lifecycle and obsolescence management as well as repair and RMA services.
