About us

Kontur Werkzeugstahl GmbH combines steel trading and its own production at the Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen site. The company supplies construction and tool steels – including engineering steels, cold work steels, hot work steels and plastics mould steels – with a stock of around 6,000 tonnes held in its own warehouse. Upon request, the material is further processed: sawn blanks up to 2,000 × 6,000 mm, milling and grinding up to 2,000 × 4,000 mm, as well as custom manufacturing according to drawings and 3D data with 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres and deep-hole drilling up to 1,800 mm depth. Production takes place in single-item and series production for toolmaking, mould making, plastics processing and mechanical engineering; the company also offers contract machining with customer-supplied material in steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Since November 2023, KONTUR has been a 100% subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions Germany and serves customers throughout Europe.
