About KOPOS KOLÍN

KOPOS KOLÍN a.s. is a Czech, family-owned manufacturer of electrical installation materials headquartered in Kolín, around 60 km east of Prague. The portfolio comprises more than 5,000 items: installation boxes, cable ducts, parapet trunkings, installation pipes, double-wall protective pipes (KOPOFLEX®, KOPODUR®, KOPOHALF®), cable management systems (JUPITER, MARS, wire cable trays, cable ladders), fastening materials as well as fire-resistant systems with maintained electrical functionality in the event of fire up to E90. Production is carried out by extrusion of corrugated pipes, injection moulding (including two-component moulding), an in-house PVC granulate compounding operation, and metal forming of cable trays from galvanised steel. A special product is the NEUTROSTOP radiation-shielding shaped bricks made of polyethylene with boron or lithium additives for neutron shielding, used among other places at CERN. The company employs more than 400 staff at the main Kolín plant and around 150 at nine subsidiaries, and produces at two sites: Kolín (Czech Republic) and the Shytomyr region (Ukraine).
