KOS Spezialtüren GmbH from Schermbeck develops and manufactures high-quality door systems for the operating room and clean room sector since 1991. The portfolio includes automatic and manual revolving door systems (Systems D1/D2/DST1/DST2), hermetically sealing and non-hermetically sealing sliding doors (K1/KST1/KST2), telescoping doors, as well as soundproofing, radiation protection, and smoke protection systems. The door leaves are manufactured with a thickness of 40 mm up to a rough construction size of 1850 mm without impact; frame profiles are cut at an angle, continuously welded, and ground. Materials include stainless steel 1.4301 (ground grit 240), galvanized and powder-coated steel, anodized aluminum, and HPL laminate on fiberboard core with tube or full-span and hardwood interlayer; coatings are applied using a special adhesive process. Drives used include the microprocessor-controlled electromechanical revolving door drive record 127 DFA and the microprocessor-controlled electric drive KOS Type AE, secured by Flatscan laser scanners and active infrared fields according to DIN 18650 / EN 16005. With over 3,000 door systems commissioned annually and customers in over 60 countries, KOS is one of the leading suppliers in the segment.
