About KOSMEK
KOSMEK Europe GmbH, headquartered in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, is the EMEA headquarters of KOSMEK Ltd., founded in 1986 in Kobe, Japan. The group develops and produces clamping systems and automation technology 100 % in its own plants in Nishi-ku, Kobe. The portfolio includes hydraulic and pneumatic workpiece clamping systems (swing clamps, lever clamps and spread clamps, support elements), robotic tool changers with zero-backlash technology, pallet grippers, quick mold change systems for injection molding (QMCS) and stamping presses (QDCS), clamping systems for die casting machines, as well as solutions for welding and washing processes. Core innovations are the patented High-Power technology with mechanical locking (up to 7 times higher holding force at 0 bar), low and medium pressure technology, battery-free wireless sensing, and heat-treated proprietary alloys. Customers come from the automotive, e-mobility, electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, mechanical engineering, die casting and toolmaking industries. KOSMEK Europe handles sales, technical consulting, support and logistics for Europe, the Middle East and Africa through a distributor network.

Technologies & Materials
Aluminum high-pressure die casting (HPDC)
KOSMEK clamping systems are used, among other things, for machining thin-walled HPDC components in the e-mobility sector.
Magnesium (thin-walled components)
High-Power pneumatic clamps enable low-distortion clamping and stable machining of thin-walled magnesium components.
Heat-treated proprietary alloys
Heat-treated in-house alloys increase the fatigue and compressive strength of clamping components.
High-Power technology (patented mechanical locking)
Achieves up to 7 times higher holding force and 3 times higher clamping force at low system pressure, with holding force at 0 bar.
Zero-Backlash technology
Locks tools and fixtures without micro-movement in all three axes with 3 µm repeatability after 2 million cycles.
Wireless Sensing technology
Motion-powered wireless querying of clamp states without batteries, cabling or external power supply.
