About Krämer+Grebe

KRÄMER+GREBE is a family-owned company founded in 1922 and based in Biedenkopf-Wallau that develops, designs and manufactures moulds and tools for demanding castings from prototype to series production. The product portfolio includes die casting moulds for aluminium and magnesium castings (including mega and giga castings), gravity, low-pressure and counter-pressure permanent moulds made of steel, patterns and core box tools for all sand casting processes, as well as prototype tooling, special machinery and patented core drying technology. Manufacturing is carried out on more than 20 boring and milling centres including 5-axis simultaneous machining with travel paths of up to 3 m and table loads of up to 20 t, complemented by heat treatment, assembly and an air-conditioned measuring room with optical digitisation. As a development partner, the company supports customers through simulation (casting, core process and load simulation) from concept development to series production, especially for the automotive industry, foundries, e-mobility and lightweight construction. Mobile deployment teams carry out maintenance, repair and process support with an on-site response time of 24 hours at the customer's premises.

Quality

Quality assurance is performed in an air-conditioned measuring room with optical digitisation (GOM ATOS IIIE) and a mobile CREAFORM Metrascan laser scanner; relevant areas are measured 100% and reported using false-colour representation. The company operates in accordance with the guidelines of DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.
