About KraftWasser
KraftWasser GmbH, based in Thalwil, distributes the KraftWasser system for lime conversion and water revitalization of drinking and tap water. The system works in two stages: in a container filled with catalyst granulate, lime seed crystals form on a catalytic ceramic surface, converting dissolved lime into non-adherent calcite crystals (max. approx. 30 µm). In the second stage, the water flows through another catalyst (water treatment unit) that is intended to alter the structure of the water. The process works without salt, without electricity and without removing minerals from the water, and is maintenance-free. The system is installed in the supply line after the water meter, pressure reducer and fine filter, and protects installations and household appliances from limescale deposits. The initiator is Jörg Watter, graduate architect ETH/SIA and building biologist; the target groups are private owners, tenants and multi-family buildings.

Process and Mode of Operation
Lime conversion by seed crystallization
A catalytic ceramic surface forms lime seed crystals that convert dissolved lime into non-adherent calcite crystals (max. approx. 30 µm).
Water revitalization/water treatment
Second system stage with a catalyst (water treatment unit) intended to alter the structure of the water and preserve spring-water quality.
