About Kraken Robotics
Kraken Robotics is a Canadian marine technology company founded in 2012, headquartered in Newfoundland and Labrador, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (PNG) and OTCQB (KRKNF). The company develops and manufactures sensor and power systems as well as underwater robotics for civilian and military applications, including Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS), the towed sonar system KATFISH, optical 3D metrology (SeaVision/LiDAR), acoustic sub-bottom imaging (SBI, Acoustic Corer) and pressure-tolerant underwater batteries (SeaPower). In addition, Kraken offers survey and data services (Robotics as a Service). Roughly three quarters of revenue comes from the defense sector; customers include the Royal Canadian Navy, the Royal Danish Navy, the Polish Navy and the Royal Australian Navy. Undersea battery manufacturing takes place in Rostock (Germany), sonar manufacturing in Canada; further sites exist in Aberdeen, Houston and Denver as well as several sales offices. In July 2026, Kraken acquired the Covelya Group (including Sonardyne, EIVA, Voyis).
