About us
Kraus Stahlhandel GmbH produces and supplies prefabricated reinforcement elements for the precast concrete industry according to DIN/EN standards and KOMO certification (NL). The family-owned company, founded in 1988, was based in Cologne-Marsdorf from 1996 and relocated to Viersen in 2022. In addition to its headquarters, from which companies in Germany and the Netherlands are supplied, production takes place "on site" at the customer in three further plants. Products include welded reinforcement cages, mesh elements (reinforcement mats) and custom-made finished reinforcement made of reinforcing steel, e.g. for stairs, balconies, columns and beams. Since 1997 the company has specialized in reinforcement cages for tunnel segments (Tübbing reinforcement) and contributed to 16 tunnel projects in Germany and the Netherlands; by 2016, more than 60,000 tonnes of Tübbing reinforcement had been delivered. All orders are processed in the company's own technical office on CAD workstations in order to detect drawing errors early and to optimize reinforcement layouts together with customers.
