About us

Krauses Holzwerkstatt ("KraKel"), run by Manfred and Anna Maria Krause in Obrigheim (Palatinate), produces wooden objects and one-of-a-kind pieces. The core process is the transformation of dead fruit trees, which grew for many decades in the orchard meadows of the Palatinate, into so-called WeinBäume (wine trees): old trunks are turned into objects, treated with beeswax and mounted on a steel plate so that wine can be stored in them. Every trunk is a one-off; in addition to the WeinBäume, other wooden objects are created. The location is the woodworking shop with a culture cellar at Albsheimer Hauptstr. 38, 67283 Obrigheim. Production is done as one-off custom work; the company targets private customers and art enthusiasts as well as the local cultural scene.
