Krieger Lichtsteuerungen is a Swabian family-owned company based in Heilbronn that has been developing and distributing daylight-dependent lighting controllers since 1968. The product range includes room lighting controllers based on the company's proprietary reference-room principle, solar shading controllers with radiation measurement, tunnel lighting controllers with the Krieger multi-hole camera for measuring luminance ahead of tunnel entrances, as well as road lighting controllers. Development and distribution are carried out in-house; manufacturing is outsourced. Customers include civil engineering offices, municipal utilities, electrical contractors and building equipment suppliers such as AEG, ABB, Philips and Alstom. Reference projects include tunnel and underpass controllers, among others in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Cologne, Vienna, Athens, Belgium, Thailand and Hong Kong. Since 2000, Dipl. Ing. Eberhard Gebauer has been running the company in the second family generation.
