Kröna Coatings GmbH, based in Kreuztal (North Rhine-Westphalia), develops and produces industrial paints, primers, water-based paints, can paints and corrosion protection systems. The company, founded in 1984 as Kröna Lacke Krömpel & Nawrath OHG, is today run in its second generation by Ditmar Krömpel and Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Nawrath. The coating materials are offered for capital goods, office furniture and lockers, transport goods, vehicle construction as well as roof and wall applications for various substrates. According to the company, product development is already geared towards future regulatory requirements, including with regard to the EU VOC Directive. The company offers product development, consulting and field service support as well as its own testing methods. Its range of services includes, in addition to the production of coating materials, the development of customer-specific formulations. In 1992, 1996 and 2000, production, laboratory, storage capacities and social rooms were expanded several times; since 2015 the company has traded as Kröna Coatings GmbH.
