About Kröner-Stärke
Kröner-Stärke GmbH is an owner-managed family business based in Ibbenbüren that has been producing wheat starch since 1900 and derived grain products. The product range includes native starches, swelling starches, swelling flours, gluten/protein, texturates, flakes, spelt products, gluten-free products as well as custom customer blends for the food, feed (animal nutrition) and non-food sectors. Processes include starch production, extrusion, swelling flour production, roller technology, hot-air stream drying, the slurry process as well as multi-component blending and filling in silo and bulk loading. Since 1997, products from controlled organic farming have also been processed; the company counts among the largest organic wheat starch producers in Europe. Gluten-free wheat starch with a limit value below 20 mg Gliadin/kg is also produced. The Ibbenbüren site comprises production, administration and logistics buildings with an integrated blending plant, a wastewater and biogas plant as well as a pilot plant for biochar production in Ladbergen.
