About KSL Joining Technology
KSL Joining Technology GmbH, headquartered in Bensheim, develops and manufactures automated systems and special machines for joining textiles and technical composites. The portfolio includes CNC sewing systems with stationary or rotating sewing head, fully and semi-automatic multi-needle machines, modular production systems for filter bags, mattress panels and quilts, ultrasonic production systems, CNC laminating/placing machines as well as robotics and Industry 4.0 solutions. The systems process materials such as leather, fabrics, glass fiber, carbon fiber, non-wovens, synthetic and glass fiber filter materials as well as silicone, for example for silicone application on airbag fabric up to 3,500 mm in length. Typical applications include airbag seams, surface heating systems, air filtration filter bags, roller blinds for vehicle panoramic roofs as well as quilts and mattresses. The company is part of the DA Group (Dürkopp Adler GmbH) and additionally offers worldwide service and spare parts supply.

Processes and processed materials
Fabrics (textiles)
Base material for CNC, multi-needle and special sewing systems, also as multi-layer and laminated materials.
Leather
Processed, among other things, with multi-needle machines and AI-based vision systems for decorative seams on perforated leather.
Glass fiber
Processed, among other things, in multi-needle machines and in filter bag production (glass fiber filter material).
Carbon fiber
Use case for multi-needle machines for producing parallel seams on large-area materials.
Non-woven
Used in ultrasonic joining of filter bags and as material for spacers.
Melt-blown material
Can be processed on the KL FPS 300 high-speed production system for filter bags.
Silicone
Applied to curtain airbag fabric up to 3,500 mm in length with the KL 170 CNC system.
Tire cord fabric
Processed with chainstitch special machines KL 624/625, also as dipped liner (approx. 6,000 dtex).
