About us
Since 1999, KST GmbH (Kamera & System Technik) has developed and manufactured mobile video camera technology, including rear-view cameras, electronic mirror solutions, pantograph and track monitoring cameras for rail, road and special-purpose vehicles. The product portfolio also includes OEM development, prototype and sample production with optomechanical custom fabrication, as well as 3D printing in Onyx and Nylon with optional Kevlar fibre reinforcement. In addition, the company offers engineering services ranging from concept and design work to 3D metrology with the ROMER ABSOLUTE ARM and special coatings (optics, EMC, thermal management, nano-coating) and painting. Production is carried out in aluminium, stainless steel and plastics; viewing windows use Borofloat glass, high-strength glass or sapphire glass, and plastic caps are flame-retardant per UL94 or NF-F101/-102. Customers come from automation technology, traffic engineering, automotive, the rail and aviation industries and industrial image processing; leading train manufacturers worldwide use the systems over the lifetime of the vehicles. The company is based in Pirna near Dresden, is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22163 (IRIS), and offers service and overhaul for all equipment produced since 1999.
