KSW Werkzeug & Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG (Kurt Synowzik Werkzeugbau) was founded in 1970 in Schwanewede near Bremen and manufactures in the fields of tool and mechanical engineering. Its portfolio of services includes tool and fixture making, casting and press die making, precision engineering, prototype construction, gauge manufacturing as well as handling technology – from single parts and prototypes through to series production. Milling is carried out on modern CNC machining centres with 3, 4 and 5 axes (Mazak, Chiron), with the 5-axis range realising complex shapes, undercuts and difficult angles in a single setup. In 3D milling, the company specialises in casting moulds, forming stamps and nozzle inserts, machining materials from a few millimetres to well over one metre in size. The high-frequency milling machines with spindles up to 60,000 rpm produce front panels and heat sinks for the electronics industry, while wire EDM delivers filigree contours, profiles and gear teeth with accuracies down to 2 µm. The offering is rounded off by punching and bending technology on eccentric presses up to 125 t as well as CAD/CAM programming with the PEPS system. Customers come from mechanical engineering, aerospace, yacht building, the food, electronics and medical technology sectors.
