KTU GmbH was founded in 2017 and is a production company with more than 60 employees at its Thuringian site in Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel. The company manufactures plastic packaging for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries in the B2B sector, in particular plastic bottles with fill volumes of 50 to 1000 ml as well as FlipTop and screw closures and jars for creams and solid formulations. Production takes place using two processes: injection molding with machines with clamping forces of 50 to 220 tonnes and tool configurations of 2 to 32 cavities, as well as extrusion blow molding (EBM) for hollow bodies. The plastics used are HDPE, PP, PS and SAN as well as the recyclates rHDPE and rPP. In addition to series production from the standard range, the company develops individually tailored packaging solutions together with customers and offers tool maintenance and optimization. Production is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 50001.
