About kümpel
kümpel - Kunststoff-Verarbeitungswerk GmbH in Lohmar has been based at its site since the beginning of the century and looks back on more than 100 years of company history as well as over 90 years of experience in plastics technology. As one of the first PLEXIGLAS® processing plants worldwide, this family company, now run in its fourth generation, has been using this material since its patenting in 1934. Its core competence lies in the manufacture of sophisticated components to customer specifications as one-off pieces and small series: finished parts are produced to sample or drawing from PLEXIGLAS®, MAKROLON®/LEXAN® as well as other thermoplastic plastics such as PVC, PA, POM, PEEK and PTFE. Molded parts and molded panels are created by bending, folding and forming. Customers come from mechanical engineering, shopfitting and trade-fair construction, the automotive industry, industry and medicine, as well as the food, lighting and advertising industries. Production takes place on the company premises with up to 75% of electricity from its own photovoltaic systems; the remaining electricity is sourced from the grid supplier as green electricity, making CO2-neutral production possible.
