Founded in 1932, Künz GmbH is a 100 % family-owned mechanical engineering company headquartered in Hard, Vorarlberg, and is one of the oldest companies in the Vorarlberg mechanical engineering industry. As a full-range supplier, the company manufactures custom-engineered cranes and hydromechanical equipment, including container cranes (RMG/ARMG, RTG/ARTG, ASC), process cranes for mining, rail handling cranes, wood handling cranes, cranes for recycling and bulk material handling as well as trash rack cleaning systems. Value creation takes place largely in-house: from consulting and concept design through engineering, development and production in the company's own manufacturing facilities to installation, commissioning, software, training, maintenance and retrofit. With around 900 employees and ten locations in Austria, Slovakia, the USA, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany, Künz supplies customers worldwide, including in ports, mining, rail and recycling logistics. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has been Ökoprofit certified since 2024.
