About us
Künzel-Holz GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run sawmill and planing mill based in Issigau in Upper Franconia. The company has been working with the raw material wood for more than 50 years and processes roundwood from the forests of Central Europe, primarily spruce wood. In the sawmill, the raw logs are turned into sawn timber, fresh-sawn boards, laths, dimensional lumber as well as construction and binder timber; in the planing mill, the products are planed to size. In addition, the finishing steps include drying, impregnation as well as heat and blue-stain protection. Chips, sawdust and bark produced during sawing and planing are fully utilised, among other things for wood chips, pressed chip blocks, bark mulch and milled or planed shavings. Customers come from house construction, landscaping, energy generation, industry and the trades. On around 22 hectares of its own spruce forest afforestation in the native forests of Upper Franconia, the company is committed to sustainability. Communication is possible in German, English and Czech.
