About KMD
Kunststoff-Metallbau Dümpelfeld (KMD) is a specialist in the processing of thermoplastics founded in 1995 and based in Spessart in the Eifel region of Rhineland-Palatinate. Its core competence is container and vessel construction: cylindrical and rectangular tanks, cross-flow aerators, filter systems, channels, catchment trays, tank linings, shafts and custom components are manufactured to customer drawings or in-house designs. In addition, KMD implements plastic piping systems, ventilation construction as well as steel and stainless steel work such as support frames, tank reinforcements, pipe bridges and work platforms. The portfolio also includes small series and individual turned and milled parts made of plastic and metal as well as measurement, control and regulation technology. The joining processes include hot gas extrusion welding, extruder welding and butt welding. Its customers are primarily water treatment (drinking water and wastewater), swimming pools, the beverage industry, chemicals, environmental technology as well as steel and mechanical engineering. With over 500 m² of production space, KMD manufactures for customers in Germany, the neighbouring countries and worldwide, and supports projects from design through fabrication and assembly to maintenance and dismantling.
