About Kunststoff- und Farben-GmbH

Kunststoff- und Farben-GmbH (KFG) was founded in 1973 in Biebesheim am Rhein and manufactures acrylic glass powders, chemically defined acrylic fine grades, MMA-based resins, adhesives and coating polymers on an MMA-BMA basis. Its core business is the recycling of acrylic glass and polycarbonate residues (post-industrial scraps): several thousand tonnes of waste are processed annually in the company's own mills, fine mills and extruders, with an annual production of around 5000 tonnes. On the factory premises at An der Flurscheide 7, production halls were built in nine construction phases with more than a dozen grinding plants and extruders, as well as underground tank facilities with a capacity of 150 t for reaction resins. The products are used, among other things, in acrylic ceramics (kitchen sinks, decorative panels), BMC for automotive headlight housings, grinding wheels, blasting media for the aircraft industry, orthopaedic carbon fibre parts as well as coatings and road markings. Around 60 percent of production is exported. Since 2023, the company has used exclusively green electricity and climate-neutral eco-gas; in 2025, Armin Rombach (suscepit GmbH) took over operational management together with Reiner Nittmann.
