About Kunststofftechnik Weißbach
Kunststofftechnik Weißbach GmbH is an owner-managed family company founded in 1991 and based in Gornau near Chemnitz. Around 55 employees produce custom plastic solutions: technical parts made from plastic semi-finished materials, containers and apparatus, piping systems and special molded parts, as well as complete special systems for process engineering tasks such as cleaning, etching, dosing and conditioning. Manufacturing includes CNC machining with 3- to 5-axis simultaneous machining, plastic welding technology (plate, pipe, extrusion, IR and segment welding), bending, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, as well as design with CAD/CAM, FEM calculations and on-site final assembly. Materials processed include plastic semi-finished products, acrylic (PMMA/plexiglass) and polycarbonate. Customers include mechanical and plant engineering, the semiconductor industry, photovoltaics, medical and environmental technology, water and laboratory technology, as well as the advertising industry and shopfitting. Quality is certified to ISO 9001:2015; in its own R&D department the company works on research and development projects, most recently on the joint project IntuRob for robot-assisted plastics processing.
