KUNZMANN GmbH & Co. KG is a family business founded in 1953 by Rudolf Kunzmann, headquartered in Dasing near Augsburg. Under the umbrella of the company, the Kunzmann wine cellar, the Albertus Quelle mineral spring and KELA natural juices are united. The service portfolio includes wine bottling, spirits distillation, the extraction of mineral water from an own borehole on the company premises as well as the pressing and bottling of fruit juices; complemented by a factory outlet and online shop. In 1956, the company emerged as the first provider in Germany with a bottled mulled wine recipe and contributed to its legal recognition under wine law. Around 90 employees work in administration, sales, production and logistics. The management has been in the hands of Jürgen and Natalie Kunzmann since 2014; the company is registered in the commercial register of the Augsburg district court (HRA 15806), with Kunzmann Beteiligungs GmbH as general partner.

History

1. 1953

   Rudolf Kunzmann founds the Augusta Weinkellerei as a wholesale wine business in Augsburg; expansion to include spirits distillation and wine bottling

2. 1956

   First bottled mulled wine in Germany; involvement in the legal recognition of the mulled wine recipe

3. 1978

   Relocation of the company headquarters to Dasing

4. 1995

   Jürgen Kunzmann takes over the management together with his mother Karola after the death of his father

5. 1996

   Drilling of a mineral water deposit at a depth of approx. 150 m on the company premises; creation of the Albertus Quelle brand

6. 2000

   Takeover of the Landsberg pressery (KELA) and integration of KELA juices into the product range

7. 2010

   New building of the wine cellar in the immediate vicinity, commissioned in June 2010

8. 2014

   Jürgen Kunzmann runs the business together with his wife Natalie
