About Woodi
Kuopion Woodi Oy is a Finnish manufacturer of furniture for public spaces. Since 1994, the company has produced solid wood furniture in its own factory in Kuopio, and since 2026 in a newly built furniture plant, the largest investment project in the company's history. The collections include furniture for kindergartens, schools, senior and care facilities, accommodation as well as fixed installed furnishings. The materials used are predominantly FSC-certified solid wood (including solid birch), furniture panels with high-pressure laminate coating, acrylic, and steel components such as slide rails and handles. Surfaces are treated with water-soluble varnish; upholstery uses fire-safe textiles with abrasion resistance up to 500,000 Martindale. In addition to in-house development and manufacturing, acoustic coating is part of the service portfolio. Customers are public institutions in Finland and export markets such as Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Cyprus, France, Switzerland, and other countries; in Helsinki, the company operates a showroom in the old Arabia factory building.

The furniture carries the EU Ecolabel, whose environmental impact is assessed independently of the materials from manufacturing through to the period of use; the wood used is FSC-certified.
