About KUORI

KUORI GmbH develops and produces bio-based, biodegradable, and recyclable elastomer materials for plastic processing. The flagship BIOWA is a material platform that incorporates second-generation bio-fillers such as olive kernels and nutshells – by-products of the food industry. The grades BIOWA HC (home compostable), BIOWA S (Performance), and BIOWA RE (Recyclability) are offered as pellets and filaments for injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing. In development are Material B, a 100% bio-based, fully biodegradable PHA elastomer, and the patent-pending Material C, a chemically recyclable, vulcanized rubber based on amorphous, unsaturated polyester. KUORI offers Custom Compounding and Co-Development, optimizing properties such as color, foaming, and mechanical performance according to customer specifications. Target markets include Mobility, Fashion & Footwear, Outdoor & Sports, and Toys & Tools. The team consists of nine employees, including material scientists, polymer scientists, and process engineers; research is conducted in collaboration with FHNW (Institute of Polymer Engineering) and UZH.
