About the Advanced Interlayer Solutions Division
The Advanced Interlayer Solutions (AIS) division of Kuraray Europe GmbH develops and produces film interlayers for laminated safety glass. The portfolio comprises Trosifol® PVB films (polyvinyl butyral) and SentryGlas® ionoplast films for applications in safety, structural, decorative, acoustic and specialty glazing as well as Automotive & Transportation. PVB resin production (Mowital®) takes place in Frankfurt am Main, and film manufacturing among other locations in Troisdorf (Germany), Holešov (Czech Republic) and Ulsan (South Korea), as well as in Fayetteville, NC (USA). The offering is complemented by digital design tools (including Strength Lab AI, SoundLab AI, Carbon Reduce AI), an interlayer webshop, training courses, and the recycled Trosifol® R3 with a reduced carbon footprint. The division is part of the Japanese specialty chemicals group Kuraray Co., Ltd. and supplies glass manufacturers and laminators worldwide.
