KURZ TYPOFOL GmbH produces thermal transfer ribbons (TTR) at its Döbeln site for the label and identification industry, the packaging industry, and product and brand protection. The product range includes wax ribbons for paper labels and rough surfaces, wax-resin ribbons for smooth paper and plastic labels, near-edge ribbons for printing speeds up to 1000 mm/s on inline packaging materials, and especially smudge- and scratch-resistant resin ribbons for smooth plastic surfaces. The ribbons consist of wax, resin or wax-resin formulations on a carrier film and are suitable for substrates such as paper and plastic. In addition to standard applications, design labels and thermal transfer ribbons with integrated, invisible counterfeit protection are offered, whose properties can be evaluated using a reader and software. The company can look back on a tradition of almost 100 years and around 60 years of experience in the production of hot stamping foils. Since the merger with the KURZ Group in 1991 and the renaming in 2003, the site has served as a service center for the group's international customers.

Cost-effective quality grade for low printing energy, primarily on paper labels and rough surfaces.
Wax-resin ribbons
Formulation for medium printing energy with sharp-edged printing on smooth paper and plastic labels.
Near-edge ribbons
For printing speeds up to 1000 mm/s on paper, plastic labels and inline packaging materials.
Resin ribbons
High printing energy, smudge- and scratch-resistant and resistant to petrol, alcohol and partly solvents.
