Crane building from Mannheim – design, manufacturing and service from a single source

KW Kranwerke GmbH is a medium-sized crane manufacturer based in Mannheim that develops, manufactures, installs and maintains custom crane systems and services. For over two decades, the manufacturing focus has been on fully automated grab bridge cranes for waste-to-energy plants, complemented by gravel and floating dredgers, harbor slewing cranes and special cranes such as beet sorting cranes or stoplog cranes for hydropower plants. Manufacturing encompasses in-house design, welded fabrication according to DIN EN 1090 and DIN EN ISO 3834-2, as well as installation and commissioning from a single source. Customers include waste incineration plants, gravel and sand extraction, the cement industry, inland and industrial ports, as well as biomass and digestion plants in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and the United Kingdom. Since August 2019, the company has also been represented in Asia through its subsidiary KW Cranes (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. KW Kranwerke continues Mannheim's more than 200-year tradition of crane building.
