About KW Ventures
KW Ventures GmbH develops and realizes grid-connected large-scale battery storage systems (BESS) in Germany. The company, based in Gräfelfing near Munich, covers the entire value chain: land securing, building permit and grid connection including negotiation of the network interconnection point (NVP) and area characteristics (FCA), project development of storage systems from 5 to over 50 MW, and turnkey implementation as EPC/general contractor with subsequent direct marketing and operation over the project lifetime. A focus is on co-location, i.e. combining battery storage with photovoltaic or wind installations at a shared grid connection point to avoid curtailment and open up multiple revenue streams. The portfolio comprises over 63 MW of secured connection capacity and around 150 MWh of storage capacity at more than 12 project sites in Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Founded by experienced architects and engineers, KW Ventures works with landowners, municipalities, municipal utilities, grid operators and investors.
